A chemist by training, Katy brings extensive experience in leading and executing solid-state characterisation and screening activities in both big pharma and CRO environments. With an aptitude for scientific planning, project management and team leadership, Katy thrives on working with team members and customers to help them achieve their goals.

Most recently, focussing on regulatory starting materials and intermediates – an oft-neglected space that can cause critical manufacturing issues – Katy established a substantial workflow and extensive supplier network to plan, prioritise and direct critical screening work.  

During her career in the industry, Katy has maintained a consistent external presence, helping to organise several conferences for the British Crystallographic Association Industrial Group, where she currently serves as treasurer.  

At work, Katy is the Particologist most likely to burst into a showtune when let loose in the lab! Outside of the office, Katy will often be found on a hockey or cricket pitch, or spending time with the four-legged fluffball, Jackapoo puppy, Teddy.
